Haruki Murakami
Absorbing the light. The deeper the darker. Frozen in time and darkness. There is a switch. A light emerges and shines upon the creatures that live down here, frozen in life.
Born and raised for drying recks, giving light but only when you plug them in.
"And even though deep down here in the deep sea the passing of time and years is maybe not as important as it is for humans, we do still care."
Luckily they have discovered though, there can be light, even in the deepest of the oceans.
That is how they survive
deep sea creatures, frozen in time, frozen in light, frozen in darkness. In the deepest, and currents and waters combined, they are frozen, Stuck to their surrounding. On of the surface, many meters above they icebergs are floating. Between them and the sun. Increasing the pressure, pushing them deeper down into the vacuum of the The frozen darkness.
Two deep sea creatures, frozen in time, frozen in light, frozen in darkness. In the deepest where currents and waters combine, they are frozen, stuck to their surrounding. the surface, many meters above the, icebergs are floating. Between them and the sun. Decreasing the pressure, pushing them deeper, down into the vacuum of the frozen darkness.
An exploration of shapes, Surfaces and Colors that are inspired by the creatures that live deep down in the bottom of the seas. Combined with the brightness of light that unfortunately does not shine down there. We spend the winter in Tromsø in north of Norway where no sunlight exist during that time.
